GOG’s Steam-alternative PC game store is leaving CD Projekt, staying DRM-free

GOG is splitting from CD Projekt, the game company that launched the preservation-focused PC gaming marketplace in 2008. In an update on Monday, GOG announced that its co-founder, Michał Kiciński, has acquired the digital storefront and its online gaming platform GOG Galaxy from CD Projekt - which he also co-founded - for $25.2 million.

The acquisition isn't changing anything about GOG's mission to keep games DRM-free, according to the announcement that says it's "more central to GOG than ever:"

The next generation of Wi-Fi is starting to arrive, and today TP-Link is unveiling its first family of next-gen products. There are six devices in total, ranging from high-end routers to a range extender, all of which use the new Wi-Fi 6 standard to deliver better performance and faster speeds. At the top of the line is the Deco X10, a tri-band mesh router that’ll work with the rest of TP-Link’s Deco series to spread Wi-Fi signal throughout a home. Mophie’s newest iPhone battery case, the Juice Pack Access, represents a first for the company: an exposed Lightning port. Mophie’s cases typically plug into each iPhone’s Lightning port, and that’s how it charges the phone. This new case leaves that port exposed, so users can plug their Lightning headphones in and listen to music, even while using the case. The case will support the iPhone X, XS, XS Max, and XR.
